Make Your Move - Third Day (Cover - Tquan Moore)

Make Your Move - Third Day (Cover - Tquan Moore)

I’m looking around here for some kind of miracle
I’m looking around here for some kind of sign
I gotta believe there’s a rhyme and a reason
For the faith that you find

I gotta admit that there’s something I see in you
I know that it’s something deep inside
But nevertheless, still I can’t help but wonder
Would you really even care if I ever said goodbye

Well, you’ve got love and I’ve got time
Won’t you make a move before I change my mind
And I want to believe it’s true
I’m listening close
Won’t you make your move now

I know that there’s more to life than I’ve ever known
I feel it down deep inside my heart
And I am here now to find what you’re believing
And to know who you are

And if you care to share a minute of your time with me
Tell me now because I am hoping that I can believe
Give me a reason to trust what you’re telling me
Lord knows I need it now, won’t you show me how

Well, you’ve got love and I’ve got time
Won’t you make a move before I change my mind now
Well, I want to believe it’s true
I’m listening close
Won’t you make your move

I’m looking around here for some kind of miracle
I’m looking around here for some kind of sign
I gotta believe there’s a rhyme and a reason
For the faith that you find

Well, you’ve got love and I’ve got time
Won’t you make a move before I change my mind now
And I’ll give you a chance to say
Everything you want before I walk away
Well, I want to believe it’s true
I’m listening close
Won’t you make your move

Don’t let your hearts be troubled

What is happening,

I hope that the beginning to the summer has you excited about the next few months of warmth, vacations and whatever else you will find yourself doing during the non-school months of the year.   I wanted to just post a thought and let you go on about your day.

Remember the old spiritual from way back? “Nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen. Nobody knows my sorrow…” I was reminded of this song when I read John 14:1. Prior to John 14:1, Jesus has been telling his closest followers the he going to be betrayed, leave them, and die. After all that he says, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me”. John 14:1
He knows this news is bad, but he shows them the light at the end of the tunnel isn’t an on coming train but it is a great destination. He is going to prepare a place for them. But before that he says to them “trust me”. They have been with Jesus long enough to know whether he is a man of his word or not.

Those words ‘don’t be troubled, trust’ jumped off the page at me today. I felt like I had been handed a plane ticket to some exotic place. The exotic destination is peace (or not being troubled) and the plane headed to that destination is trust. Remember when Jesus is sleeping during a storm and his disciples say, “Wake up, don’t you care that we are going to die? Later, Jesus speaks and the storm ceases and he says to his sailing buddies.’ Why are you so freaked out? You don’t trust much.’ (your bible may read -Why are you so afraid? O, ye o little faith). The key to being peaceful enough to sleep in the storm is trust.

Trust wipes away the illusion that circumstances are bigger than God. Now Boarding all passengers on Flight# Trust to Peace. The plane is preparing for departure.

One Love by Bob Marley (Live acoustic Cover by Tquan Moore)

Live Acoustic Cover of the Bob Marley tune - "One Love"

http://listn.to/tq
http://www.tquanmoore.com/music

One Love! One Heart!
Let's get together and feel all right.
Hear the children cryin' (One Love!);
Hear the children cryin' (One Heart!),
Sayin': give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right;
Sayin': let's get together and feel all right. Wo wo-wo wo-wo!

Let them all pass all their dirty remarks (One Love!);
There is one question I'd really love to ask (One Heart!):
Is there a place for the hopeless sinner,
Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own beliefs?

One Love! What about the one heart? One Heart!
Let's get together and feel all right
Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right;
Let's get together and feel all right.
One more thing!

Let's get together to fight this Holy Armagiddyon (One Love!),
So when the Man comes there will be no, no doom (One Song!).
Have pity on those whose chances grows t'inner;
There ain't no hiding place from the Father of Creation.

Sayin': One Love! (One Heart!)
Let's get together and feel all right.
Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right;
As it was in the beginning
So shall it be in the end
Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right;
Let's get together and feel all right.

I Do.m4v

I wrote this song for my wife in 2010 for our anniversary. I love you, deeply.

Song: I Do
Artist: Tquan Moore
© Tquan Moore All Rights Reserved

Verse:
Would you care to take dive
Into the caverns in my mind
The thoughts way deep inside

Peel back the layers of my heart and
Reveal the rhythms of my soul
the beats that make whole.

Pre-Chorus
Not sure if language can attest
But I'm giving it my best.

Chorus
I do, I do. I am still in love with you.
I do, I do. Before we promised it I knew.
It's true, It's true. With all the time that slips away
If asked I still will say.
I Do.

Verse:
I am holding on to you
Until the daisies are pushed away.
I am holding through that day

And in times of disappointment
And when the pain comes on so strong
I'll be holding on

Pre-Chorus

Chorus

How do you make a living as a Christian musician?

How do you make a living as a Christian musician?

This is an answer to a posting that I thought I would post for your reading pleasure.

I am working at making a living at the music thing. I have made head way over the last 3 years. Though I work full time hours, music as a means to completely supporting my family is a ways off.

Some thoughts.
First off, seek God diligently to see if he is calling/allowing/and or prompting you to spend time this way. It is a futile effort go against the stream of God. This is critical. If you aren't called to do this, it doesn't mean that you won't make money but it does mean that you won't see the full potential of what God has in store for you because you will be pursuing something other than your calling.

Second, be diligent/wise about business. Read, ask questions, study trends etc. Yes, I understand that God will make a way and one way, most likely, will be through discipline and wisdom.

Thirdly, Strive to produce a better quality product all the time. Write new songs, rework old ones. Work on your presentation. Whether that is nuts and bolts and/or listening to the Spirit concerning what to do in the moment.

Fourth, Make friends everywhere. You reap what you sow. Many of these friends will need you and you will need them. WARNING: Do not get into friendships so that you can have resources. Care about people first, then you will want give help and others will want to give help to you.Go for the friendship over the resources. The resources will come.

Five, Never tire of booking. Live performances are where you display your product. It is a taste test of sorts and if people enjoy what they have tasted then they will want more.

Six, Make goals. With out any goals you will never reach them.

Seven, Promote. Facebook/youtube/online, radio, business cards. Probably the most difficult thing for me but I think it where yo see the most financial return.

Lastly and most important, pray. This is a risky business but then again so is life.

God Bless

Receiving God's love like the ground receives rain.

Here is something that I have been learning lately. I have a hard time fully accepting grace. There are things that I have read and heard about how God loves me so much and how he looks at me with as his son who he very proud of. I just have a hard time fully accepting this at times. It is not that I don't accept God's love at all, because in my head "I know" he loves me. It is like this. I know that the Aurora Borealis is beautiful but I have really experience it? I have not seen it with my own eyes, heard the silence in the Arctic as the the colors dance in the sky or felt cold on my face as I was amazed by it. You see there is a difference between knowing the beauty of something like the Aurora Borealis and fully taking in  the varied aspects of its beauty.

Don't  misunderstand. I believe God loves me. He has shown me over and over again. So, that fact that he loves me is not really in question, but somewhere Satan has done a good job deceiving me, so that it has become hard to experience this in my heart.  It is crazy because I know his love to be true, I have taught his love to be true and have seen others receive the benefits of his love. But still, trying take it in to where I know that neither my good deeds or my bad deeds change his love for me has been difficult.  I am so used to being evaluated and/or 'loved' (by myself and others) based on my abilities or lack there of.

So, this is my prayer to God today. God, I know that you love me. You have shown it over and over again through you what you have done for me. So, help to the feel and know your love more deeply and to take it in completely. I want to receive your love like the ground receives the rain. I want know how high, how wide and how deep is the love that you have for me. Let your love rain fall on this barren land.  In Jesus name, amen.
